AVIC International Holding Corporation (AVIC INTERNATIONAL) was born from its predecessor, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation(CATIC), which was established in January 1979, at the beginning of China’s reform and opening-up drive.  In 2008, CATIC was restructured and renamed AVIC INTERNATIONAL.

China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) is an ultra large state-owned enterprise and and investment institution, authorized and managed by the Central People’s Government. It is reorganized from AVIC I and AVIC II.
